Automotive Parts

Anti-Vibration Systems (AVS)

Cold Formed Products manufacture a large range of inner cores for automotive anti-vibration systems. The ductility of the alloys we use makes parts intrinsically safer than castings which can crack under stress. Typically these are rubber coated and used in engine or gearbox mounting units by major manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen/Audi, Rover, Ford etc.

Air Conditioning Systems

We produce many components for manufacturers of automotive air-conditioning systems. These range from simple hose shells to complex connectors. We can also take advantage of our process by combining normally multipart assemblies into single components, eradicating leak path problems.

Brake Systems

Safety critical components benefit from the consistency of close tolerances and dimensional repeatability. We supply components such as pistons for ABS systems where these characteristics are of paramount importance. Use of lightweight and recyclable materials adds benefits to such components.

Cable Systems

Long established as a supplier of cable end systems, we make a wide range of union nuts and ferrules. Excellent corrosion resistance is provided by the alloys we use thus doing away with the requirement for surface coating on exposed pasrt. Our parts can survive the US 96-hours salt spray test without any surface protection whatsoever and exhibit no deterioration in surface integrity.

Others

Our process lends itself to unique posibilities in design of components. We supply many parts for most vehicles such as gear levers, weir tubes, fuel inlets and outlet couplings, switch bodies etc. Multipart assemblies can often be redesigned into a single part thus obviating the need for fabrication or assembly work to be carried out. This has a two-fold advantage of reducing costs and inconsistencies due to assembly process variations and failures.
